Description
Two BM1373 chips. Around 4.4 TH/s. Under 10 J/TH. A new generation of open-source desktop mining.
The Bitaxe Naja Duo is a compact dual-chip SHA-256 ASIC miner built around two of Bitmain’s new BM1373 ASIC chips. At stock settings, the Naja Duo delivers approximately 4.4 TH/s while consuming around 42W, giving it an efficiency of approximately 9.5 J/TH.
Compared with the previous generation of single-chip BM1370 miners at approximately 1.2 TH/s, the Naja Duo delivers roughly 3.5× the hashrate while also improving performance per watt. Two independently monitored ASICs, a substantially larger cooling system, a dedicated multi-phase power stage, and AxeOS management make it one of the most capable compact open-source miners of its generation.
🚀 Dual BM1373 ASICs
At the heart of the Naja Duo are two Bitmain BM1373 ASIC chips. Instead of relying on a single ASIC, both chips operate together to produce approximately 4.4 TH/s at stock settings.
- ASICs: 2× Bitmain BM1373
- Stock hashrate: approximately 4.4 TH/s
- Stock power consumption: approximately 42W
- Stock efficiency: approximately 9.5 J/TH
- Architecture: dual-chip SHA-256
This gives the Naja Duo substantially more hashing performance than previous-generation single-chip desktop miners without moving into the size, power consumption, heat output, and noise associated with conventional industrial ASIC hardware.
⚡ A major step up from the BM1370 generation
The Naja Duo represents a substantial jump in both performance and efficiency compared with the previous generation of compact BM1370-based miners.
A typical single-chip BM1370 miner delivers approximately 1.2 TH/s while consuming around 17W. The Naja Duo combines two BM1373 ASICs to deliver approximately 4.4 TH/s at around 42W, with stock efficiency of approximately 9.5 J/TH.
| Specification | BM1370 Single-Chip | Bitaxe Naja Duo |
|---|---|---|
| ASICs | 1× BM1370 | 2× BM1373 |
| Hashrate | ~1.2 TH/s | ~4.4 TH/s |
| Power | ~17W | ~42W |
| Efficiency | ~14–17 J/TH | ~9.5 J/TH |
In practical terms, the Naja Duo produces roughly 3.5× the hashrate of a typical single-chip BM1370 miner while also delivering significantly better performance per watt.
⚡ More hashrate per watt
The upgrade is not simply about adding a second ASIC. The BM1373 generation also provides a meaningful improvement in energy efficiency.
At approximately 4.4 TH/s and 42W, the Naja Duo operates at around 9.5 J/TH at stock settings. That means considerably more hashing performance can be produced from a relatively modest amount of electrical power.
For a dual-chip desktop miner, this combination of performance and efficiency makes the Naja Duo particularly well suited to continuous home, office, lab, and enthusiast use.
🔥 Serious tuning and overclocking potential
The Naja Duo has considerably more performance available beyond its stock configuration. The dual-BM1373 platform has been tested at settings producing approximately 8 TH/s, although reaching this level requires significantly more power and places much greater demands on cooling.
- Stock: ~4.4 TH/s at ~42W
- Tested overclock: up to ~8 TH/s
- Overclocked power: approximately 92W at the tested 8 TH/s configuration
- Tested frequency: up to approximately 600 MHz
- Tested core voltage: approximately 1120 mV
Overclocking results are not guaranteed. Every ASIC behaves slightly differently due to the silicon lottery. Increasing frequency or voltage also increases power consumption and heat output, so tuning should always be performed gradually while monitoring temperatures, power draw, and hardware stability.
🌡️ Individual ASIC temperature monitoring
Each BM1373 has its own temperature monitoring, allowing the miner to monitor the thermal condition of each ASIC independently.
This is especially useful on a dual-chip platform. Rather than relying on a single general temperature measurement, the system can identify differences between the two ASICs and provide better visibility when tuning the miner.
- Individual temperature monitoring for both ASICs
- Real-time thermal information
- Better visibility during tuning and overclocking
- Temperature-aware fan management
❄️ Large low-profile cooling system
Cooling two BM1373 ASICs requires significantly more thermal capacity than a conventional single-chip Bitaxe. The Naja Duo therefore uses a large low-profile heatsink spanning the ASIC area together with active PWM fan cooling.
The larger heatsink and fan provide the thermal capacity required for continuous operation while also giving enthusiasts additional cooling headroom for performance tuning.
PWM fan control allows cooling performance to respond dynamically to operating temperature rather than simply running the fan at full speed continuously.
⛏️ Built for Bitcoin and SHA-256 mining
The Naja Duo performs SHA-256 hashing and can be configured for Bitcoin mining through compatible mining pools or solo-mining infrastructure.
It provides real ASIC mining hardware in a compact format that can operate independently without requiring a dedicated computer.
- Run your own dedicated ASIC miner
- Connect to your preferred compatible mining pool
- Use it with solo-mining infrastructure
- Monitor both ASICs directly from the miner
- Run continuously at relatively low power
Solo mining remains probabilistic and finding a Bitcoin block with a small miner is rare, but every valid hash produced by the miner is a genuine attempt at discovering a block.
🎯 Ideal for solo mining
With approximately 4.4 TH/s at stock settings, the Naja Duo provides substantially more hashing power than previous-generation single-chip desktop miners while retaining the compact and accessible nature of the Bitaxe platform.
For solo miners, this means more hashing attempts every second without requiring an industrial miner drawing hundreds or thousands of watts.
- Approximately 4.4 trillion hashes per second at stock settings
- Compact desktop format
- Low power consumption compared with industrial ASIC miners
- Independent operation once configured
- Compatible with solo-mining infrastructure
🖥️ 1.9" full-color display
The integrated 1.9" color LCD provides real-time information directly on the device instead of requiring you to constantly open the web interface.

📶 WiFi connectivity
The Naja Duo connects over 2.4 GHz WiFi, allowing it to operate as a self-contained network-connected miner without requiring an Ethernet cable or dedicated computer.
Once configured, the miner operates independently and only requires power and network access.
🔧 ESP32-S3 controller
The control system is built around an ESP32-S3, handling WiFi connectivity, the display, AxeOS management, and communication with both BM1373 ASICs.
A dedicated USB-C connection is available for firmware flashing and recovery, making it possible to update or reflash the miner when required.
⚡ Dedicated dual-chip power system
Two BM1373 ASICs require a considerably stronger power delivery system than a conventional single-chip miner. The Naja Duo uses a dedicated multi-phase voltage regulation system designed for the increased current requirements of its dual-chip architecture.
The miner operates from a 12V DC power source and uses a robust XT30 power connector.
This gives the platform sufficient electrical headroom for stock operation while also supporting significantly higher power levels when experimenting with advanced tuning.
🔄 A new generation of compact ASIC mining
The move from BM1370 to BM1373 is more than a simple frequency increase. The newer ASIC generation provides substantially more hashing performance together with improved energy efficiency.
The Naja Duo takes that further by combining two BM1373 chips on a single compact platform. At stock settings, it delivers approximately 4.4 TH/s at around 42W, compared with approximately 1.2 TH/s from a typical previous-generation single-chip BM1370 miner.
For users moving up from the BM1370 generation, the Naja Duo offers a considerable increase in raw hashrate, improved efficiency, independent ASIC temperature monitoring, a stronger power system, and substantially more tuning headroom.

⚠️ A note on performance figures
ASIC performance varies from unit to unit due to the silicon lottery. Hashrate, power consumption, efficiency, temperature, and maximum stable frequency may therefore differ slightly between devices.
The approximately 4.4 TH/s at 42W figures represent typical stock operation. Higher-performance settings should be considered enthusiast tuning rather than guaranteed operating specifications.
When tuning, increase frequency and voltage gradually and always monitor ASIC temperatures, power consumption, and hardware error rates.
